A multidisciplinary team of engineers, pharmacists, food scientists, and chemists from Rutgers University (lead institution), NJIT, and UPR-Mayaguez has joined forces to develop a graduate training program focusing on the application
of nanotechnology for the design and optimization of pharmaceutical products. in the innovative interdisciplinary area of Nanopharmaceutical Science and Engneering.
The program, funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Health, is centered at imparting students with a strong scientific foundation for the design and development of a wide array of nanotechnology-based biocompatible products with advanced drug delivery functionality
