Research Interests
I am interested in the areas of metabolic engineering and systems biology towards exploring biological networks. I graduated with my Ph.D in 2006 from Iowa State University from Dr. Jackie Shanks lab. My work involved using 13C metabolic flux analysis towards understanding carbon partitioning towards protein and oil in soybean cotyledons. In particular the emphasis was on studying the response of central carbon metabolism of developing soybeans to two parameters: temperature and genotype. Currently, my work involves employing metabolic flux analysis to investigate hepatocyte metabolism.
