Molecular thermodynamics and statistical mechanics and fluid phase equilibria of complex fluids in chemical, pharmaceutical and environmental systems

Our research is concerned with development and application of novel and advanced molecular thermodynamics and statistical mechanic methods to solve problems encountered in the petro-chemical, pharmaceutical and materials processing industries. We employ molecular simulation methods and develop molecular based theories to study phase equilibrium involving polymers, pharmaceutical active compounds, biologics, green solvents, nano-fluids, self-assembling molecules and supercritical fluids. We are developing theoretical and simulation techniques for solvent screening, and thermodynamic models for solubility of pharmaceutical ingredients and equation of state theory for macromolecular complex fluids.
